Sorry for the delay in announcing this months swap. Thought it would be fun to create something for the Men. Here is my first tag for the theme using Stampin up sadly retired stamps and papers.
So if you would like to play here are the rules.

1) Make 2 male themed tags. No bigger than an A5 envelope please LOL.
2) Email me here for my address to post them
3) Enclose a Stamped addressed Envelope - You will need a large stamp both ways.
To be with me by 31st January.

If you join in the Stamp Man atc swap too then please tell me that in your email and I will give you some extra tips!

December Tag swap

Hello Folks and welcome to another tag swap here on Tag You're it. Hopefully your November tags will be with you shortly with all the weather the post is playing up a little.

This month I am your host - Clarky J

and I am going for the obvious now because this months swap involves Christmas!

My friends despair of me as I do Christmas all year round - I just love it! My Christmas stamp collection is almost as large as my every day collection but I do make sure I get lots of use from them.
Tomorrow is St Nicholas day and as he is the chap we have come to know as Father Christmas thats who I would like to see on your tags this month.

So what do you have to do?

Make 3 tags with Father Christmas on - they can be the same or different - and post them off to me. If you need my address then email me here

anyone can join in - you don't have to have played before but I can promise you wont be disappointed with the swaps you receive back again!

I would like to turn this one around by Christmas so please have your tags to me by Saturday 18th December and I will swap and post back to you for first post on the 20th.

Remember to add a SAE with a large stamp for your return swaps.

Here is my take on the theme the rest of the DT will add theirs through the week too.

Our Monthly Tag swap!

We have so much enjoyed the monthly tag swaps we have decided to dedicate the whole blog to Tag swapping! The first swap has a really open theme so you can be as creative as you want which is Simply Stamping. Your tag must include stamping within its design - a really easy one to play around with. So what else do you have to do?

1) Make your 3 tags and post a link on the post.

2) Post your tags to the swap host which will change each month.

3) Include a SAE with a large stamp. Your envelope must be A5 size so they will fit larger tags in them.

4) Swaps need to be with the host by the 25th of the month for swapping and posting back to you.

5) When you receive your swaps dont forget to leave thanks on the Tag swap page which will be added each month.

This month your swap host is Sam and you can find out the postal address by mailing her at waterytart_1@yahoo.com

The team have had fun playing with this open theme - a chance to play with stamps not used for a while.

Happy Monday once more Taggers! Just a quick reminder to let you know that our Tag Swap for Feeling Fruity is now closed and return tags should be back with you soon!

Speaking of swaps, we have an announcement to make. Starting next Sunday we are changing the format and becoming a monthly swap with theme blog! We've absolutely LOVED receiving all your gorgeous tags in the post and rather than hold challenges weekly we'd like to dedicate this blog to swapping everyones wonderful creations!

So next Sunday we will start with a brand new theme and we'll give you all the swapping details. We'd be thrilled if we got a few of you taking part, as no matter how good the photos might be, there's nothing quite like actually getting to touch and hold someone else's art :)

I've been crafting for a very long time and I still have some stamps I bought when I was 10!

I like doing so many different crafts it feels like I don't have time to do any.

I'm a very messy crafter and give tidy freaks at crops heart failure!

I have 3 children, who I refer to on my blog as The Dinky Diva, Small-n-Grubby and Branston Pickle!

I love photography too, particularily wildlife, but with 3 children in tow I rarely get time to dedicate to it. Or peace and quiet!

I can't eat gluten, but thankfully there is no gluten in chocolate!!

Well there's definitely a nip in the air these mornings and the leaves are starting to turn the most glorious rich colours of autumn - fabulous inspiration for our September Swap theme Autumn Gold. September Tag Swap - Autumn Gold

Happy Sunday Taggers!! OMGoodness, can you believe it's the first Sunday of the month again?? This means that we are ready to host another brand new tag swap! We do have some new ideas that we are going to implement over the next few weeks but we would like to ask if anyone who would like to feature on our 'front page', please let us know as we'd love to welcome you. Sam's August Tag Swap !

Happy Sunday Taggers! And can you believe it is August already?? Oh Lord, where does the time go? Thank you to everyone who played along with our Inchies on a Tag theme last week - it was so lovely to see them all - there's such a lot of creativity flowing out there!

Right then, on with August and as it's the first Sunday, as promised we have our brand new swap theme. Our lovely Sam has offered to host this swap and she chose a colour theme inspired by the gorgeous photo at the top - the colours being Burnt Orange, Olive and Antique White. Gorgeous summery colours that work so beautifully together. Your theme can be absolutely anything you like as long as these three colours are the predominant ones. The closing date for you to send in 3 tags to swap is Friday 27th August. Please email Sam directly for her address to send your tags to, and Sam will then redistribute any that she has received by the end of August.

Now then, those ladies who recent played along with our June Tag Swap, we hope you were as delighted with the tags you received as we were with ours, and we have some fab news to share with you. One or two taggers have asked if we can do it again and we are excited to say that you were thinking along the same lines as us, and so therefore in August we are going to start hosting a monthly tag swap!! On the first Sunday of each month a new theme will be posted which will be the Swap Theme for the month. Each month a different teamie will host the swap and you will be asked to submit 3 tags for that theme by a certain date. Your 3 tags can be identical, or they can be as different as you like, as long as they're designed for the theme of the month. All tags must be hand-made and not computer-generated, and even if you're not a regular player but would like to take part in the swaps you are also very welcome!

So now it's over to you - we want to see your Black & White tags with a touch of Gold! It doesn't have to be classy - it's entirely up to you and how you interpret it!

I confess to being a complete addict and have their products all over my house and even in my car, so my mind is permanently picking through seaweed to collect driftwood and shells off the beach. It's divine! I have here a wax tart that I will send to one random player this week - they may be small but they are really powerful!

Cupcakes Oh my....!

Happy Sunday Taggers, and welcome to the final week of our Tag Swap. Our theme this week is entitled Cupcakes, Oh my...! Isn't it funny how themes seem to all come together at the same time in blogland! When we drew up our list of themes and dates back in March this year, no way could we have forseen the many other Cupcake challenges that would be open this week also. I have noticed several Cupcake challenges on my travels this week which is fantastic, because now we know that there are just HUNDREDS of Cupcake images out there just longing to be used again! So hopefully, those of you with cupcake stamps/images/diecuts, etc. will want to get those out again and join in with the last of our June themes and hopefully swap them!

So, whether you've done one theme or all four themes in June, and are ready to swap your tags, Please email Janet for details of where to send your tags to. For those who are taking part, please could you have your tags posted off to Janet by Friday 9th July at the very latest so that by this date, she will have all the tags that are to be swapped together, ready to be re-distributed to everyone who played along with us. Make your own Ribbon Embellishment

Happy Sunday again folks! Nice easy one for you this week. We've seen some wonderful tags over the previous weeks and we're really hoping that all those June one's will be going into the tag swap because they are stunning!!! It's still not too late to join in though so if you're only just reading this for the first time and wish you'd found us sooner, don't be put off - you can either catch up at your own pace, or just jump in now and do the next couple of themes. How ever many tags you send in, that's how many you will receive in return. So get those scrap boxes out and get tagging!!

It keeps asking for my password and then tells me it's invalid (which I know isn't true!) and until I've managed to find out what's happened, I may miss some people out which is really sad because I have been sat at my pooter squealing with delight over your tags! I will keep at it until I've cracked it though ;o)

Needle and Thread

Hi Taggers and welcome to the first of our June themes! Today is the start of the June Tag Swap and our first theme to kick us off is Needle & Thread. As always, you can interpret this in any way you like just so long as your submission is on a tag.

If you don't already know about it, we are offering you the opportuity to receive some wonderful surprise tags at the end of June, by way of a swap. Don't forget also that next week we are starting our June Swap - this is a fantastic opportunity to receive a randomly selected tag from another player in the post - what a wonderful surprise. If you haven't done so already, please help yourself to our tag button to remind you to join in and hopefully bring others in because the more tags we have submitted, the greater the selection we have and the more random the swaps become. The team here are soooo excited about this and we hope you are too! Our lovely friend and teamie Janet is going to coordinate this and what we will be asking you to do is to send the tags you make during June to Janet (click the link to email her for her addy) along with a stamped addressed A5 envelope for your random selected tags to be returned. Obviously all the tags will be different sizes and weights so you might like to allow for that in your postage (and maybe even a padded envelope?). Please can we ask though that you ensure that ALL your tags will fit comfortably inside an A5 envelope - some of the team here are having to learn to make smaller tags just for this swap!! LOL!!!

A Whiter Shade of Pale

Happy sunny Sunday taggers!! I hope you're having sunshine where you are too - it's positively tropical here, and there's nothing like a bit of summer to make you feel creative! So delve into that scrap box of yours and produce a tag for this week's theme which is A Whiter Shade of Pale (if you're not singing now, you're too young to play! LOL!). Basically this is a great opportunity to use up all those white card cut-off's you've been hanging onto. We don't do impossible here though, we do accept that you do need a little colour but your tag should have an overall 'White' appearance. Now for the exciting news we have for you. Are you someone who loves to receive surprises in the post? Well, throughout June we have decided to host a tag swap. This will mean the 4 tags you make for the June themes, if you choose, can be swapped and you will receive 4 different ones back, chosen at random, from all the tags submitted. Its very important, if you want to take part in the tag swap, you should make your tags small enough to fit into an A5 envelope. As the themes go on we will give you more information but for now we wanted to share this little bit of excitement. We are buzzing at the thought of receiving 4 tags from you folks so we hope lots of you join in. Please share the tag swap on your blog too as the more join in the more tags there are to swap! It's really easy, it's great fun and you get a fab surprise at the end of it! Don't forget to keep popping back, the first theme for the Tag Swap will be on Sunday 6th June!

Week No. 5 - A Butterfly's Kiss

Hi Taggers, Happy Sunday!!

Hands up, how many of you out there have a box or folder or something that you keep those pretty paper off-cuts that you just can't bear to throw away because you might find a use for them one day? Well today is that day!! Get your box of scraps out, maybe a couple of stamps, even a punch or two and turn those scraps into really useful tags! There's no point in hanging onto something that, lets face it, if you're honest, you're never going to use, are you? But if you've made something pretty and useful with them you're going to be so thankful - especially when you need a tag in a hurry! And they don't take long to make, unless you really want them to of course. A tag can be as simple or as elaborate as you like. Tags are a great way of experimenting too. You know that technique that you keep threatening to try out? Well this is the perfect occasion for that, and guess what, it isn't going to matter if it goes wrong because you can just trim it down, add a gem or two, punch a hole in the top and thread a ribbon and Voila!! Tag Art!!! Sometimes I (Anne) like to just stamp images and colour them - they never make it onto cards, but they do come in handy when I need a tag in a hurry!

That is the purpose of this blog - it was never designed to take you away from your other favourite challenge blogs and rob you of precious crafting time. Our reason for being here is to try and entice others into using up what might ordinarily be junk stash and making something beautiful and useful from it. The themes we set are just to give you an idea to get you going - we don't set 'challenges' because tag making is something that you can do while you're waiting for the kettle to boil, or a 'warm-up' to your crafting time.

This week we have set a theme which uses butterflies - I imagine pretty much everyone has butterflies in their stash so we want you to drag them out and use them on your tags. It's not a competition - there are no prizes or blog candy to give away, we just want to encourage other crafters to create something beautiful in their daily gaps with scraps of papers and have something beautiful at the end of it.

Good Morning Taggers it is already week three here at Tag you're it. Thank you so much to all of you who made a tag for our Acetate theme. They were very inspirational.

We have been having some wonderful Spring weather here in the UK and this has inspired this weeks theme. So this week we would love you to "Spring into Spring" with us here at Tag you're it.

Feel free to interpret the theme as you wish. You may want to use Spring colours or you may want to use Spring flowers or perhaps some Spring birds.

Week No. 2 - I Can See Clearly Now

THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to all of you who welcomed us back - it is such a wonderful feeling and we're over the moon that you want to join in with us. We've added another fabulous teamie to the gang this week; Janet who most people out there in blogland already know has really got us excited by agreeing to be one of our inspirational team.
We saw some fabulous tags last week, and this week we're seeing things a little more clearly (eurgh.... sorry about that, couldn't resist it!) by adding Acetate to our tags. We're Back!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Spring is in the air, a time for new beginnings, new challenges and a good ol' Spring Clean - and that's exactly what we've done here at Tag, You're It! It's a whole year since we closed our beloved blog due to other commitments from the team, but one year on, Sam and I decided that we wanted to give the blog a good spring clean and set a whole new list of themes and relaunch. It's actually 2 years to the day since we at Tag, You're It! set our very first theme, and we're hoping that some of you who enjoyed playing before will come back and play again, and we would love to see lots of new faces too! And we have two wonderful and inspirational teamies who have very kindly agreed to join us in our venture; Pascale and Linda will be here with us each week with gorgeous tags to show and whet your appetite.

So, if you are someone who loves making tags, then this is exactly the place for you - each Sunday a brand new theme on which to base your tag will be posted along with our team samples, and we hope it will inspire you enough to go off and make a tag of your own to show off and inspire us also!
